Şengül Akçar

After studying Civil Engineering and completing a Master’s in Public Policy at Boğaziçi University, Şengül Akçar worked for four years on a housing project for low-income groups before founding the Women’s Labor Foundation (KEDV) in 1986. Since then, she has led the foundation in developing and implementing strategies aligned with women’s needs and local, national, and global agendas.
